January 12, 2017: Asian Water Cycle Initiative (AWCI) Session for the 9th GEOSS Asia Pacific Symposium in Tokyo, Japan

The 9th Global Earth Observation System of Sytems (GEOSS) Asia Pacific Symposium was convented on January 11-13, 2017 in Tokyo Japan, under the theme of "Earth Observations Supporting the Implementation of the SDGs in the Asia Pacific Region." The sectional meeting of the Asian Water Cycle Initiative (AWCI), co-chaired by Prof. Shahbaz Khan, the director of UNESCO Regional Science Bureau, Dr. Ali Chavoshian, the director of RCUWM, Iran, and Prof. Toshio Koike, University of Tokyo and the executive Director of ICHARM was held on January 12, and had fruitful discussions toward the input for the Tokyo Statement 2017.
